Who we are

George Hosking OBE
Founder | CEO Advisor | Strategic Cost Transformation Expert | International Speaker

I’ve spent four decades working shoulder-to-shoulder with chief executives and senior leadership teams — helping them navigate crises, restructure cost bases, rethink strategy, and deliver results. I’ve supported the CEOs of Basell Europe, Boots Contract Manufacturing, BP Chemicals Europe, Johnson & Johnson Medical, Monsanto UK, Penguin, Perrier UK, Toshiba UK, and J. Walter Thompson, among others — often when the knife was at the neck and results were urgently needed.

My background spans economics, psychology, accountancy, and criminology. I’ve served as Finance Director of an international manufacturing group, Executive Chairman of a global tech firm, and global strategy advisor in Unilever. I’ve led 29 successful corporate turnarounds and advised leaders across more than 60 industries in 35 countries.

In parallel with my private sector work, I’ve helped local authorities, NHS Boards, and central government departments rethink how they allocate resources — bringing private-sector rigour to complex public challenges. I’ve also been invited to speak in cities across the world — including Brussels, Chicago, Geneva, Hamburg, Los Angeles, Madrid, Milan, Montreal, Oslo, Paris, Tehran, Venice, and Washington — as well as throughout the UK. My audiences have ranged from Prime Ministers and health professionals to business CEOs and public sector leaders.

I founded WAVE Trust in 1996 and have led its internationally recognised work — commended by WHO and UNICEF — on the primary prevention of adverse childhood experiences, violence, and social breakdown. For this, I was awarded the OBE by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Today, I lead every Cameron engagement personally — offering clients not only the full weight of my strategic and operational experience, but also the insight of someone who has helped shape policy and organisational transformation on both the global and local stage.

A Legacy of Excellence — and a Focused Present
Cameron Consultants was founded in 1983. Over the years, we built a strong team that supported global clients in periods of expansion, restructuring, and renewal. While our former senior consultants have since moved into new fields — including senior roles in banking, finance, and strategy — the DNA of their excellence still informs the standards we uphold. Their historical contributions shaped our reputation for rigorous thinking, results-driven strategies, and integrity in delivery.

Going forward, all current client work is personally led by George Hosking OBE. Where appropriate, George draws on a trusted circle of Associates — handpicked for their integrity, intellect, and alignment with Cameron’s core values.
Ita Walsh
Director, Co-Owner & Strategic Advisor

Joining Cameron in 1985 from an award-winning print industry firm, Ita Walsh quickly advanced to become a director and later co-owner. She played a pivotal role in shaping corporate strategies and was an adept practitioner of Cameron’s Cogent profit improvement methodology, working in diverse international markets including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Philippines, Switzerland, Thailand, and the USA.
She was renowned for her exceptional writing skills—evident in the impactful reports later produced for WAVE Trust and as the annual CEO message writer for one of the UK’s largest companies.
An experienced coach of Chief Executives and Boards, her insights on cross-cultural management have been featured in leading European management journals and national newspapers such as The Times and The Daily Telegraph.
Ita also co-founded WAVE Trust with George, dedicating the last 20 years of her career to protecting children and women from abuse.

Our Clients
These organisations — and many others — trusted Cameron at times of real pressure. In many cases, I worked side-by-side with their CEOs, often at moments when strategy needed reshaping, operations were losing money, or internal leadership needed to be re-aligned. “Cameron’s strategic input enabled us to create a powerful unifying vision for the organisation resulting in sales increases of 10-20%.” — Bill Strachan, Managing Director, Johnson & Johnson Medical (UK)
